Step-by-Step Method to Transfer From QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online

Here are the steps that you need to implement to switch QB Desktop to QB Online. Migration depends on a few things, such as how complex and large your data is:

  1. Open QB Desktop and proceed.
  2. If you use QuickBooks Desktop 2022 or newer:
    • In QBDT Pro and Premier: Move to the Company menu. Choose Migrate this company file to QuickBooks Online > Export your company file to QuickBooks Online.
    • In QBDT Enterprise: Press Ctrl+1 to launch the Product Information window. Then, press the Ctrl+B+Q keys, followed by OK.
