RSVSR How to Finish Dust on the Wires in Arc Raiders

Shani's "Dust on the Wires" is one of those jobs in Arc Raiders that sounds simple right up until it isn't. It asks you to do more than grab loot and bail. You've got to follow a trail, keep the chain going, and actually make it out in one life. That's the part people forget. There's no checkpoint waiting for you halfway through. If you get dropped before extraction, the whole run is wasted and you're back at square one. So before you queue in, it helps to treat it like a planned route rather than a casual scavenging trip, especially if you're already sorting your kit or checking on ARC Raiders Coins between deployments.

Start at the Field Depot

You pick the quest up from Shani in Speranza, then head into the Spaceport and work your way east. The place you want is a Field Depot, one of those tight little buildings with a tall antenna that sticks out enough to spot from a distance. Inside, there's a field radio terminal. Use it, and you'll send off the last recorded logs from the missing scout patrol. That first step is quick, but don't relax too much. The east side can get messy fast, and it's exactly the sort of area where another player hears gunfire and decides to come have a look.

Cross the map to the Raider Tower

After the radio, the mission shifts hard to the west. Your next stop is the Raider Tower, just north of the big Maintenance Hangar. Climb all the way up and interact with the terminal at the top. That updates the search area and points you toward where the patrol's trail really starts to fall apart. It's worth taking a second up there before climbing back down. Look around. Check the roads, scan for machine patrols, and listen for shots. A lot of failed runs happen because players rush the descent and walk straight into trouble they could've spotted from above.

Find the signs of the ambush

From the tower, head toward the southwest side of the Maintenance Hangar. If you stay near the main road, you'll begin to notice the evidence without much guesswork. There are overturned carts, scattered debris, and all the usual signs that something went very wrong in a hurry. Interact with the traces there to report the location. Keep moving along that same stretch of road and you'll come across the patrol's remains, partly hidden near barrels and old tarps. That's where the Scout Patrol Note is. If you've got a safe pocket, use it right away. A lot of players get this far, get greedy, and lose the note because they thought they had time for one more building.

Extraction matters more than extra loot

Once the note is secured, the mission is basically about discipline. Don't wander. Don't chase random shots. Just pick the safest extraction and leave. When you return to Speranza, hand the note to Shani and you'll wrap up the task, earn the Fax Machine backpack charm, and open the next part of her questline. It's a good payoff, but only if you resist that last-minute temptation to loot one more crate, because staying alive is worth more than any side pickup, even for players who also like to buy cheap ARC Raiders Coins and keep their progression moving.
