Mercenary u4gm-Specific Farm Targets for Peak PoE 1 Currency Gains

The fundamental principle of mercenary farming is extreme specialization. Rather than adopting a jack-of-all-trades approach, one focuses on mastering a single aspect. This involves optimizing every skill point, gear selection, and Atlas passive for a specific purpose, resulting in unmatched speed, safety, or yield within the selected mechanic.

1. The Mapping & General Clear Specialist: Delirium, Legion, Harvest, Expedition
The Target: High-density, high-speed mapping that leverages mechanics like Delirium, Legion, Harvest, and Expedition for their sheer volume of drops and valuable crafting components. Think maps crammed with monsters and riddled with lucrative mechanics.

The Mercenary: These builds are epitomized by their screen-wide clear, instant movement speed, and ability to survive overwhelming numbers.

Archetypes: Bow builds (e.g., Tornado Shot, Lightning Arrow), self-cast ignite prolif builds (e.g., Ignite Elementalist), or highly optimized minion builds (e.g., Summon Raging Spirits, Absolution).
Why they excel: Their unparalleled clear speed allows them to run maps in minutes, maximizing the number of instances they can complete per hour. This is crucial for accumulating raw PoE 1 Currency drops, Divination Cards, Expedition Logbooks, Legion Splinters, and vast quantities of Harvest Lifeforce.
Currency Generation: Raw alchs, chaos, exalted orbs, high-value Divination Cards like Doctor or Brothers' Stash, valuable Expedition unique items, and bulk sales of Tainted Chromatic/Jeweller's Orbs from Delirium.

2. The Boss Killer: Uber Blight, Maven, Uber Exarch/Eater
The Target: High-tier boss encounters that drop unique items, invitations, or specific crafting bases. This includes Uber Blight encounters, The Maven, and the Uber versions of the Eldritch Horrors (Exarch and Eater).

The Mercenary: These builds prioritize absurd single-target damage and robust defensive layers to mitigate powerful boss mechanics. Clear speed is secondary or irrelevant.

Archetypes: Righteous Fire Juggernaut (for Uber Blight), Explosive/Seismic Trap Saboteur, various Aura Stacker builds, or specific totem/minion builds designed for burst damage.
Why they excel: They can consistently conquer the game's hardest bosses, minimizing deaths and maximizing the chance of valuable unique drops, Forbidden Flesh/Flame jewels, and lucrative invitations like The Feared or The Hidden.
Currency Generation: Direct unique drops, Maven's Writ/Cortex, Awakened Gems, Voidstones, and the highly sought-after Uber boss exclusive items. Selling completed invitations is also a consistent source of PoE 1 Currency.

3. The Blight Commander: Blighted Maps
The Target: Overrun Blighted Maps that require a sophisticated tower defense strategy to protect the Ichor Pump.

The Mercenary: Builds focusing on immense Area of Effect (AoE) damage, high survivability, and often some form of "off-screening" ability to deal with threats before they reach the pump.

Archetypes: Righteous Fire Juggernaut, Poison Concoction Pathfinder, or even certain high-range Bow builds with specific mechanics.
Why they excel: Their ability to effortlessly clear waves and defend multiple lanes makes Blighted Maps trivial, allowing for consistent completion and maximized oil drops.
Currency Generation: Blight unique items, a plethora of oils (especially golden and silver), and valuable Blighted Maps themselves, which can be run or sold for consistent PoE 1 Currency.

4. The Heist Rogue: Blueprint & Contract Running
The Target: The labyrinthine corridors of Heist, extracting trinkets, unique items, and valuable Rogue Markers.

The Mercenary: These builds prioritize extreme movement speed, high evasion/dodge, and usually some form of "lockout bypass" (e.g., phasing, instant movement skills) to navigate quickly. Damage isn't a primary concern as most enemies can be ignored Divine poe 1.

Archetypes: Raiders (Phasing, Frenzy Charges), Pathfinders (Flask Utility, Quicksilver), or certain Shadow ascendancies.
Why they excel: Their unmatched speed allows them to rush through blueprints and contracts, grabbing objectives and escaping before alarm levels rise.

Currency Generation: Rogue Markers, sale of valuable Heist uniques (e.g., Replica uniques, Trinkets), sale of currency chests within blueprints, and bulk sales of high-value blueprints.
